This year's CTUG conference on October 21st, 2015 was "The Best One Yet!," with record attendance for the 2nd year in a row.

The feedback from the vendors and attendees alike, was very positive, with comments like "very well organized"; "It's definitely well run, and has wonderful content." Registration went smoothly and the "Early Bird" prize draw succeeded in getting everyone into the Ontario room on schedule. HP generously donated a Slate 8 tablet for this draw. The schedule for vendor tracks was increased to 35 minutes, and more time was provided for attendees to move from one track session to another.

Something new this year, was a successful live broadcast of the morning sessions to 28 out-of-province attendees in Quebec, Manitoba and British Columbia.

We were very fortunate to have executives from HP such as Bob Kossler (Director, WW Operations, Technology and Planning Mission Critical Solutions), Claudia Cress (VP Sales, Business Critical Systems Canada) and Tom Moylan (Director, Americas NonStop Enterprise Division). They provided very informative updates on HP's roadmap for NonStop.

Guest speaker
Michelle West, TD Canada Trust

The Q and A session was quite lively with many questions directed to specific members of the HP panel. The questions and responses provided interesting discussions. Many compliments and suggestions were provided on the Q and A sheets which were handed out.

After brief closing remarks by the President, the anxiously awaited drawing of the very popular and successful Passport to Prizes draw was held. The HP Grand Prize was a Slate 8 tablet.

A wine and cheese reception was held immediately after the conference where vendors and attendees were able to socialize.

The following day, the Education session was filled to capacity (40), for the Introduction to SQL/MX course, which was given by Serg Coren (VisualNewt, LLC). The course was very well received and both a light breakfast, snacks and lunch were provided.
